We, the faithful of St. Matthew Catholic Church, in communion with our Holy Father and our Bishop, dedicate ourselves to live the Good News of Jesus Christ. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we come together to worship, to pray and to provide spiritual and physical sustenance for all with unconditional love, compassion, dignity and justice.
St. Matthew Catholic Church was entered into the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES on September 4th, 1986, as part of the Downtown Monroe Historic District under the provisions of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
